Members of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) enjoy numerous opportunities for both personal and professional growth nowhere is this more evident than with PACC committees. PACC committees offer you the opportunity to find the right opportunity for you. The Chamber has nine committees and variety of programs/projects you can be involved. Regardless of your schedule or aim there is something for everyone.

You must be a member of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce in good standing to participate in any of the Chamber’s committees. The Committee Chair must approve members who wish to join a committee.

Get Involved in one of these PACC Committees:

Ambassador Committee: 

Serves as a point of contact between the Chamber and new members. This committee visits every new member and presents the member with a PACC plaque, membership directory and upcoming event invitations. This committee also visits renewing members and presents them with an updated membership plaque, membership directory and upcoming event invitations.

Community & Economic Development: 

Focuses on a partnership of government, businesses, and non-profit organizations dedicated to growing a positive economy for our businesses and the community through effective programs and services. This Committee features a main committee focused on the above mission and four sub-committees focused on specific elements of the committee’s mission.

The following are sub-committees of this committee: Employment Outreach, Business & Education, Taste of Parsippany and Travel & Tourism.

Employment Outreach: 

Focuses on the development of our economy and community through workforce development. This committee offers an annual Job Fair, job postings, website (www.employmentoutreach.com), workforce development newsletter (Workforce Morris), career development services, training seminars, internship and scholarship program all of these services are free of charge.

Event Planning Committee:

The Event Planning Committee is designed to help develop and plan programs of all types including forums, panels, seminars, and business card exchanges. Individuals programs are planned at varying times throughout the year, our events will be listed on our Event Calendar.

Committee members begin planning for the events before the event takes place. They work closely with a Board Member to make sure all aspects of the events are ready. They are responsible for working with sponsors, seeking donations, and assembling other supplies prior to the event.

Marketing, Communications & Technology: 

Develops resources to market and communicate the PACC initiatives and activities to members efficiently. Communications  to the community are made through published newsletters,  websites, print based advertising, press/news releases, and social media.

Hanover Committee:

The Hanover Committee is dedicated to supporting the businesses, merchants, residents, and volunteers of Hanover Township, East Hanover and Florham Park. Support includes marketing member offerings; distributing information and education programs; network member interests; coordinate shared services to reduce member costs; work with our local/ county stakeholders and governments to revitalize the business district and promote a healthy and more prosperous economic climate.

Scholarship Committee:

This committee works with the Guidance Counselors of Parsippany High School, Parsippany Hills High School, Mountain Lakes High School, Boonton High School, Hanover Park High School and Whippany Park High School to choose two students to receive an annual scholarship.

Taste of Parsippany: 

Provides an opportunity to the Food & Restaurant Service Industry to showcase their business while creating a positive economic climate and enhancing consumer spending within the Parsippany Area. This committee drives the largest fundraiser the Chamber runs every year. Tri-Town Committee:

The Tri-Town Committee is dedicated to supporting the businesses, merchants, residents, and volunteers of Boonton, Boonton Township and Mountain Lakes. Support includes marketing member offerings; distributing information and education programs; network member interests; coordinate shared services to reduce member costs; work with our local/ county stakeholders and governments to revitalize the business district and promote a healthy and more prosperous economic climate.

Develops programs and services to drive travel and provide residents with community information services. Services and programs include but are not limited to the Parsippany Area Visitor’s Center, website (www.visitparsippany.com),

Women In Business:

This group was formed to connect women within the chamber to each other so we can use each other as resources and connect on levels other than just business.  We share ideas and business contacts and we hope this group grows and changes with our needs – it is OUR group, so let’s make it great!  If you know of anyone else who would like to participate, please invite them, but remember they must be a PACC member to be part of the committee!
