Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce is supporting the local economy!

Welcome to the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce, celebrating 53 years of   supporting the businesses and residents of Morris County.  If you are reading our website, you probably have an interest in the area, either as a resident, prospective resident, visitor, new business, or existing business, or may be thinking about locating to the Parsippany Area.  Whatever your motivation, speaking from my personal experience, there is no better place to live, to work, to play, or to be in business.

At the heart of the local economy and the backbone of the nation’s economy, you’ll find a Chamber of Commerce.  Today’s Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce, rather than be narrowly focused on one particular industry, issue, cause, or activity, focus on a broad range of activities and support for both businesses and communities.  If you are looking for information or a way to get connected in the Parsippany Area, look no further, because the Chamber has something for everyone.

Started in 1956 as a business organization, we also provide information to Morris County residents and visitors through our office, the Parsippany Area Visitor Center, our directory, and our numerous websites.  Together with other talented leaders in business, community, and government, chamber members, and professional volunteer staff work to build leading communities.  The Chamber is the primary economic developer in the Parsippany Area and responsible for marketing the community to recruit new businesses to the area in order to fill vacant offices and retail spaces.  These initiatives are supported by the Morris County Economic Development Corporation, the Small Business Development Center, and the Small Business Administration as a Regional Resource Center.   In addition to marketing our communities to business entities, we are also the primary tourism bureau for the Parsippany Area and responsible for marketing the community to tourists along with our partner, the Morris Tourism Bureau.

As one of the community service organizations, our members are the day-to-day liaisons to the municipalities we serve throughout Morris County.  The Chamber directly interacts with government officials, policy makers, and community business leaders.  Our value lies not only in the familiarity of the local landscape, but also our ability to quickly identify helpful approaches and commit resources to solve problems.  We act as public affairs managers and serve as community representatives on businesses and community boards, frequently in leadership positions.

Businesses look to the Chamber for a venue to network and show case their businesses from sole proprietors to the largest companies and employers in the Parsippany Area.  We provide information for starting a business as well as business-building programs, trade shows, employment outreach programs, and custom research for our chamber members.  We encourage you to join us and our affiliates in order to create a strong dynamic community that benefits everyone.   As you can see, the chamber has something for everyone; all you need to do is take the first step. We welcome new members and volunteers and invite you to contact us at www.parsippanychamber.org, www.visitparsippany.org and www.tasteofparsippany.com or (973) 402-6400.
